The origins of the business lie in a small village in Italy called Paterno. Angelo Ferraiolo had a talent for making ‘bellissimo gelato’ and in 1935 he was supplying the village with fresh ice cream in a variety of flavours never tasted before.

Angelo Ferraiolo moved the family and ice cream business to England in 1950 - the business expanded and the Ferraiolo name became synonymous with great tasting ice cream. It crossed the Irish sea with the marriage of his youngest daughter Flora to Pat O‘Brien. The O’Brien-Ferraiolo merger in the early ‘70s brought a new era of trading to Dublin, with top of the range vans delivering whipped ice cream to families on their doorstep. This successful family business thrived during the recessionary times of the ‘80s and now our most recent recession. The company now has a fleet of units to cover all events or occasions.

The business continues to expand under Pat’s watchful eye while his eldest son Thomas holds the reins making sure everyone in the family and company pulls their weight and works to the best of their ability.

Ice cream vans, coffee units, and food units add atmosphere and character to an event. Whilst using the most up to date catering technology, we aim to achieve maximum consumer satisfaction.
